I came across this fabulous sign that I shared on social media yesterday:
I immediately proclaimed that we should all shine so brightly that we should wear the highest SPF Sunscreen possible!
So this morning, I was drinking my second coffee this morning like the caffeinated champ that I am, when an old lyric buzzed out from the radio: “Who stopped the rain?”
Wait. What? No sunshine? The singer sits pondering about who did this to Him. Who literally rained on His parade of a joy-filled float of cotton candy, espresso, and laughter? How did an unknown force stop Him from inhaling his basic right to be happy? His day and life is immortalized in a song, immersed in pondering who did this to him and why. So there He is, analyzing the cloudy day away, waiting for the this deep secret of life to reveal itself to Him, allowing him to open the door outside to the Sunshine of Life.
Well, you know what Mr. Moonshine? Sometimes we have to create our own sunshine and tell those thunderbolts to go elsewhere. Not on my neighbor’s She-Shed, but somewhere else that Miss Ery will accompany him. When we have our moments of joy controlled by moonshine or the weather, then that gives the power to the rain clouds and other forces or people. They gain control in more ways that are not deserved.
But fear not, my fine feathered friends- I am well stocked on sunscreen and support for you! If moonshine is an abundant presence in your life, chemically or figuratively, please call me so I can support you in reclaiming life’s happiness and purpose.
So bring it on, reef-conscious, 100+ SPF! SPF, You’ve got my back and everywhere else that this sun will shine! Get out there today and find one thing to bask in the sunshine.
And you know what? That heat will sure feel good to your spirit.
